Ask a question

database access authority

Chris Cawthorne (962819) | asked Dec 08 '09, 12:03 p.m.
We currently use a db2 database with RTC, and the file contains the identity of db2 userid that RTC uses to access the database. This db2 userid is a member of the db2-admin group and therefore has unlimited access authority (ie it's a privileged userid).

For reliability reasons, we wish to use a userid that has a non-expiring password. Our security requirements state that we can only have a non-expiring password as long as the userid is not a privileged userid.

Where can I find out what db2 access authority I need to grant to the db2 userid, such that RTC is sure to work properly? Do I need to raise an enhancement request in order to get this documented?
