I have installed IBM ELM package using installation manager on a VM and was setting up the jazz. In step 2 I am configuring the public URI which gets validated successfully but when I click next it gives below error:

"The site can't be reached".
1. How can I resolve this issue so that I can complete my setup.
2. What are the right steps to setup the public URI(changing it from default one).

This is a basic network error and is telling you that the public URI you chose is unreachable. Make sure to setup your network (DNS names, routes etc) so that the URL you choose is actually accessible. Talk to your network and VM guys.

The public URI should ideally be a fully qualified host name with correct domain to make it potentially accessible from the internet. These host names are usually managed in the company DNS.
