JBE - auto-notify committers when build breaks?

Mike Johnson (28624221) | asked Nov 23 '09, 4:19 p.m.
Folks,

I was just reading the article about using SCM at http://jazz.net/library/article/195. Recipe 3 gives a way, when a build breaks, to notify people who committed changes since the last "green" build that it's broken.

I am wondering if there is any effort to build this capability directly into JBE, instead of having someone have to go in and write Perl and build-machine-specific code (using "sendmail"). This seems like a general capability that pretty much every build engine user would benefit from, and I've seen (and used) this in other build engines (e.g. TeamCity).

If something isn't in your list for this yet, I'd be happy to write up an enhancement request!

Thanks,
Mike Johnson

JAZZ DEVELOPER
Hello Mike,
please have a look at
https://jazz.net/jazz/resource/itemName/com.ibm.team.workitem.WorkItem/50000
and duplicate work items.

If work item 50000 does not address your requirement,
please feel free to open an enhancement request.

Thanks.
Eric.
