What's the best way to back up a DNG /rm project? Or back up in general in DNG.

I'm just about to hit "Enable Configuration Management" on my first DNG project in the /rm application and as a precautionary measure, it has prompted me to make sure I have backed up the project as it is a one way street with DNG and enabling CM.

I'm use to creating DOORs Archives that compress into a .dpa file or compiling a project into a reqIF definition and exported into a .reqifz package, obviously archives are out of question. But reqIF's appear manageable in DNG.

Is generating a .reqIF the best way to back up an /rm project in DNG?

 Hello Mitch,

you can use project template with all data included, this would be simpler. It won't include external links (outside the project), comments and dashboard settings - but reqIF would neither. So just take care of this data (for external links I'd preserve original id of artifacts in a custom attribute, it would be helpful). May be you can also use project template to apply it in a new RM project with CM activated before switching you main RM project to CM

Hope this helps
