Why does report generation fail when RPE template is deployed to DNG whereas the same template works fine in RPENG?

RPE template is deployed to DNG and report generation fails whereas the same template works fine in RPENG.


Error messages : "Report Generation Fail, Review the report data source configuration." 

What could be the reason and how do we fix this issue?

Which data source schema are you using? Make sure that the data source names used in the template match the artifact types supported by DNG. For example, you can name the data source as "resources" or "_resources" only, but not "DNG Resource" or "resources1". Also note that if you are using views schema, you need additional changes in the template.

 Hi Prasad, Thanks for the response. i am using modules data source which is the main data source and rest all are dynamically configured data source which all start with "_"  Also report generation failed for the project area which has modules linked to other modules of different project area present in another instance of RM (cross server). is it because of cross server links? Because report got generated for different project areas using the same template which doesn't have cross server links. NOTE: View schema is not used in the template. Regards, Nawaz
