 is it possible to use Quick Search to search for a number as text in DOORS NG?


When entering a number in the Quick Search box (e.g. 12345), DOORS NG returns the artifacts with the Artifact Id of 12345 - which is what you would normally want.

But is it possible to 'force' the search to look for artifacts that contain the text 12345?

 Hi Richard,


If you put the number in double quotes (" ") it will return the artifacts containing the text.  It also returns those with that  artifact ID, but at least you'll get the Text results too.

I had tried that and it didn't work.  But I think that failure may be related to caching or something since when I tried with other numbers it worked fine.
