Monitor health of FlexLM license server service
I have a situation where I have a FLEXlm license server service running on Windows Server 2016 and this service occasionally stops serving licenses to users but still indicates as "Running" to the operating system. Thus, I cannot use the typical automatic service "recovery" options.
As this is a production token license server, I need to promptly address the problem when this situation occurs. However, what's been happening is that I find out by way of users complaining of no license errors.
Are there any good practices that can be shared on monitoring the FLEXlm license server service that allow notification of administrators when the service is not working correctly?
