QM- global category does not work?
Hello,
I have one global category called "Feature" with scope at Test Case, Test Case execution record, Test Case Result
- At Construction menu, Test Case view, it shows column "Feature" to indicate each test case belongs to which feature. I can see this column has value "Feature-1" for test case TC-1
- At Execution menu- Test Case Execution Records view, it shows 2 columns with same name "Feature".
First column is only with "Feature: can be editable.
Second column: has icon checklist in front of "Feature" string: seem in read-only mode
All TCERs related to test case TC-1 have both "Feature" columns show correct value ("Feature-1")
- At Execution menu- Test Case Results view, column "Feature" is blank, does not show value "Feature-1" for any TCR related to test case TC-1. Look this is an error?
Ps: I use Jazz QM 6.0.6

This is functioning correctly, the Test Case Execution Record view will have two column options for the Global Catefory you created.
One associated to the TCER
One associated to the Test Case
These are distinguishable by their icons
The Test Case Global variable is not editable as you noted: that would have to be done within the Test Case itself or the List View of the Test Cases
- At Execution menu- Test Case Results view, column "Feature" is blank, does not show value "Feature-1" for any TCR related to test case TC-1. Look this is an error?
I was not able to reproduce the last scenario
Both were testing in 6.0.6.1 iIFx004
If you can constantly reproduce the last scenario I would open a ticket with our support team for further investigation

Hello Ara Masrof,
Thank you for your follow-up. I just check on QM 6.0.6 iFix011, global category appears on Test Case Result (TCR) view too. So i think my question is resolved.
Below are some points i observe
1. TCER view has two column to indicate global category. As you explained, one column is for Test Case (TC), one is for TCER
2. TCR only has one column for this global category. This is not two columns as your explanation in TCER view? Is this design intent?
3. Selected value of this global category in TCER view enforces synchronization to value of global category in TC view, but not enforce synchronizaion values of this category in TCR view
Seleted value in TCR does not force synchronization to value of this category in TC view or TCER view. Is this design intent?
For example: Global category has following values: V1, V2, V3,...V8, V9, V10. Not define this category as multivalue
At TC view, i set this global category to value V1
At TCER view, I show both columns for this global category. I set column (associated to TCER) to value V2. Then I see both columns of this global category has value: V1 and V2
*At TCR view, it only has one column for this global category. I set value V3 for this category. Back to TC or TCEr view, value of this global category does not change after selection in TCR view

For my issue: selected value of one global category (scope in Test Case, Test Case Execution Record, Test Cae Result) does not appear in Test Case Result, I see my system already enabled Global Configuration- GC enabled. I could not disable GC, so I cud not check. Maybe this is the point you could not see this issue |

Thank you Don. I recheck on my QM system 6.0.6 iFix004, created a new global category, TCR still does not see value as shown in TC or TCER
