Excluding values in the Planned For field on a Plan

Mahari Hill (4861179230) | asked May 27 '19, 5:46 p.m.
Hello,

606, no GCM.

If I have a timeline like this:

Main Development Timeline
-Roadmap
--Release 1
---Sprint 1
---Sprint 2
---Sprint 3
--Release 2
---Sprint 1
---Sprint 2
---Sprint 3

I was asked for a view of:

Roadmap
-Release 1
-Release 2

Is there a way to exclude Sprints from view using the Exclude Expression? Like Exclude Expression Planned For:"*Sprint*"

If I currently expand Release to see what's there, it brings up the additional iterations underneath...

Exclude does only exclude work items, not iterations. As far as I can tell, it is not possible to hide iterations in the plan views that show them, other than removing the "A Release is planned for this iteration" checkmark in the iteration definition. By doing this, the iteration is no longer available for being selected in the planned for attribute and considered as an iteration that only controls permissions and behavior.
