Processing DCC with RDNG

Elenilson Chiarapa (1318) | asked Apr 09 '19, 2:03 p.m.

 Hello Folks,

I'm using the RDNG in version 6.0.4. and IFIX 13.

RDNG is very slow when performing common actions, including crashing at times.
We are suspecting DCC is contributing to this, since its RDNG-related jobs are taking a long time to process. They were configured to process every 1 hour.
An ODS job is processing and takes approximately 18 hours.
Can DCC processing impact RDNG performance?

Thank you,

Chiarapa, Elenilson

Yes, DCC jobs could be impacting your RDNG performance.  Are the jobs scheduled to start during non-peak times?

Hi Valerie,

As far as I know, the DCC jobs collects data from RDNG database and feed the data warehouse, am I right?
If so, how can this process impact the performance of RDNG?
Does DCC tasks lock the database during the process or something like that?

Thanks for any explanation.

Regards,
Luiz Cesar.
