Work Items - Move/Copy to Project Area permissions problem

We have specifically disabled permission for Everyone on fields that are typically managed by the teams, included Planned For, estimates, etc. However when someone attempts to move a work item between project areas it fails because they do not have the correct permissions to modify the attributes in the target project, only in the source project (both source and target have an identical process configuratoin).

I seem to recall some ability to clear attributes when doing a move so they would not be considered to be modified. However the only thing I can find now is making the owner unassigned on a team area change in the implied properties operation behavior of saving a work item. Is there any solution to this that will allow us to copy work items to a target for users which don't have permissions on all attributes?

Hi
Improve the implied properties advisor is tracked in enhancement 39213: Allow to configure the features which are unassigned by the implied properties advisor (https://jazz.net/jazz/resource/itemName/com.ibm.team.workitem.WorkItem/39213).

Thanks Marcel - I see it's been around since the early days - any chance that advocating for this to be included in 3.0 will make a difference?

Hi
A supporting comment in the work item may always help and a concrete scenario can prove the need for the enhancement.
There are improvements for these configurations under discussion for 3.0, but not yet committed.
