Bulk create of values in an RQM category

Karen Steele (1.2k1133131) | asked Oct 11 '18, 10:23 a.m.

I have rather a large list that I need to add to a category in RQM - it is going to be very tedious to input that list one at a time, is there a way to open a window that allows me to copy and past the values all in one go - or some other mechanism to get the values created in bulk?

Hi Karen,

Yes, you can copy a new line delimited list of category values and paste them into the new category value field.

could you elaborate a little further, are you saying I can key a list by separating by a comma for example value1, value2 etc.

Karen, not exactly.  In the 'Create Value' dialog, copy/paste the following into the Name field:

value1
value2
value3

Note, we'll add some documentation for this feature under Document creating category values in bulk. (178614).
