Running scmtools on an older AIX system

Is there a way to take the scmtools directory from an RTC client on
(say) Linux or Windows and run it on (say) an AIX or some other Unix.

I believe I got this working a while ago using RTC 1.0.1 but I can't
seem to duplicate that success with RTC 2.0.

(I suppose the same question might apply to the JBE ? )
