Change Name of an User

I have a Project Area where we are using Functional IDs for creating 'funnels' for support.

Currently, with adding new ID's , there was a need to update the name of the Functional ID. This was already updated in 'HR' and also in the ID itself but the User inside RTC continues with the same name and i suspect it's because of some user repository existing in RTC.

Is there any way I could update the user's name that is currently showing to the new one? When I go to User Profile, the name it's read-only

This depends on how your system is set up. I would suggest you talk to the people that did the set up and have Admin permission. It is likely that the uses are defined in LDAP. The user name can be changed there and the name would be synchronized into RTC/CLM through the LDAP sync.
