Best way to create thousands of links
Hi All,
I am looking to create thousands of link in DOORS NG version 6.05.
preferably I need them at the module level not at the base artifact level.

I thought now that I have successful way doing this without OSLC which has a whole lots of access problems when it is someone else server.
Yes link by attribute works but has a limitation the default string attribute support 1024 byte and the our typical DOORS id is 7 digits and I want to link into a module. So I end up with xxxxxxx.yyyyyyy, 16 characters 1024 / 16 = 64.
So I can do only 64 links, works well but still not very fast.
Creating a link by excel up load
create ms excel for up loading and modifying attributes add your destination in a column with the link type you want to create i.e Link:Link From (<)
Then fill it up {LINK id=279795.210794}
MS Excel can take 32K character per cell , 32768 / 24 = 1365 links this seems to work on DOORS NG 6.05
I am assuming that you can write code VBA or python or Java to do this.

Use link by attribute from the view in which you have filtered all module artifacts
