What does the "Duplicating links in copied artifacts" option on Paste Special do?

If I copy an artifact and then Paste Special, choosing to duplicate the artifact but unsetting the "Duplicating links in copied artifact" option, I would expect there to be no links (other than hypertext and content links) in the pasted object. Instead, all satisfied_by links get copied to the pasted object.
The text for the option talks about "trace links", I would have thought that this would include satisfied_by, as that is not a "content link" (like a glossary reference or parent-child).
So what is happening here?

Hi Keith,
this looks like a defect to me.  I've tried it on a recent development build and I see the same thing.  I'll raise a defect for it.
thanks,
Dominic
