RTC: When a link is removed from a work item, does it show up in the history tab of the work item?

I have a Story work item that is linked to a Feature work item as a child of the Feature. When I check the box "Include Link History", I see the date of when the child was added and who added it.  I then delete the link, save, refresh, and go back to the link history.  Not only is there no history that the link was removed, but now the history that the link was added is gone.  Is this how it is supposed to work?  If so, why does it work that way?

 Kim,

"If your administrator enabled automatic archiving of auditable links in the Change and Configuration Management administrative UI, a history of links that were removed from the work item is also displayed. A warning icon  warning icon  displays next to the Include Link History check box if automatic archiving of auditable links is disabled."

Do you see the warning icon? Your admin might have to switch on archiving of auditable links.
