RQM Execution schedules not working?

John Kelly (1231715) | asked Oct 06 '09, 3:51 p.m.
Hi,

I've set up an two RQM execution schedules which will kick off a test suite..
(a) when we get a good build
(b) at a certain time

neither seem to result in the test suite being run. Is there some process, agent or setting that needs to adjusted before this can work?

Also, finding why something didn't happen is difficult :-)
Any hints on how to debug this ?

thanks in advance
John

Hi John - Thanks for your help so far

re: Does the Suite contain manual tests or purely automated?

automated ( 2 Command line & 1 RFT)

re: Execution->View Execution Schedules
then within your schedule, click "History"
Do you see anything listed under the history?

Thanks for the hint on history, i hadn't noticed that before - however it was empty.

A couple of things worthy of comment are
(a) the machine under test seems to have 3 "Jobs in queue", however I couldn't find either what "Jobs in queue" actually meant or how i could look at these jobs :(

(b) saw this in the logs, but it may not be related..

Can I set up a schedule to happen the same time every day ?
It looks like you have to set both time and date on an execution schedule

One thing to try: can you go to:
Admin->Jazz Server Administration
Go to Advanced Properties
Find the property: Scheduled Execution Sequence Scanner Task User Id
Set the value to the user id of a user that has a RQM CAL assigned to them.

Try running the sequence again.

Please report back on the status after doing that.

Hi John,

Thanks for the idea. I tried that with a schedule based on a build event and it made no difference. I'll try with one based on a timer and get back with details later.

thanks again
