RTC Planning Phase Plan Task Work Item Parent Task date should be set automatically.

 Hi Team,

I have a scenario in which i want to set the parent task work item actual start date and actual end date automatically in RTC Planning.
Ex. I have parent task work item and in it I have 4 child task work item. when i set the actual start date and actual end date of all the child task work item, the actual start date and actual end date should be automatically set in parent work item, and it should be set as earliest start date of any child work item and latest end date of any child work item. what could be the solution for this?

Thanks in advance,
Regards,

Such stuff can in general be approached with follow up actions. See https://rsjazz.wordpress.com/2012/07/31/rtc-update-parent-duration-estimation-and-effort-participant/ for an example.

Note, that the effort to create and test something like that can get big.
Note, that only works if there is API that allows to do it. I am not sure if actual start date, end date etc. are real work item attributes. It is absolutely possible that the information is basically stored in (traditional) plans and therefore you might not have any access to it, because the planning has no API.

Both the attribute plan start date and plan end date are real attribute. Can this attribute fill plan start date and plan end date automatically in parent task work item, if i fill plan start date and plan end date in child work item?
