Why did IBM release RTC 6.0.3 iFix008a instead of RTC 6.0.3 iFix009?

I was wondering what the significance was for releasing RTC 6.0.3 iFix008a instead of RTC 6.0.3 iFix009?  Is there something we should know about the different nomenclature?  Inquiring minds want to know.  :)

An a, b, etc. designation indicates that there is an important fix that must be delivered immediately to the iFix and which cannot wait until the next planned maintenance delivery.
