Is there a Quick Search capability on a MAC?

Joseph Reynolds (11) | asked Aug 23 '17, 3:31 p.m.

I have used RTC in Windows, and Preferences->Work Items->Show quick search in status bar   to allow me to enter a work item id into the entry field in the status bar to quickly bring up that work item.

I just installed RTC plug-in 6.0.3 on a Mac and the Quick Search is not displayed, nor is there a preference for it under Work Items.

Is Quick Search not present on a Mac with a plug-in?

Is there a good alternative to opening a work item by id quickly?

It does have it on my Mac.

Try the plain zip version first. If you install the RTC plugin on top of other Eclipse shells, you need to give more details about it.

Thank you for your post. Glad to hear it might be there somewhere.

When installing from the zip I get 'To open "Eclipse" you need to install the legacy JAVA SE 6 runtime."
Instead, I installed the "p2 Install Repository" from jazz.net under RTC 6.0.3.
I am running JRE 1.8.0_144, Eclipse Neon.3 Release (4.6.3) Build id: 20170314-1500
Are you using the plugin or plain zip?
What other details can I give that might help others to help me?

Works for me too! You probably want to install it in another copy of Eclipse and see how it goes.
