I would like to know the general rule for indexing work items in IBM Rational Team Concert (RTC) for full text search or quick search to know when I can find the content of the file and when not.

There are following rules for indexing attachments:

  1. There are indexed text and html files which means all other extensions do not get thier content indexed.   

  2. There is no file size limit.

  3. The indexing is done in the background after the save. It's not synchronous with the save.
