How can I provide the mandatory name for the friend when using repotools -createfriend?

My observation:

  • The GUI mandatorily requires a name for each friend.
  • The repotools -createfriend documentation is missing the parameter to provide it.
The example given in Repository tools command to create a friend relationship seems to work without the mandatory field by misusing the destRepositoryURL as name.

repotools-jts.bat -createfriend destRepositoryURL=https://host.name.com:9443/jts/rootservices functionalUserId=ccm_user

I need a scriptable way to set my own friend name.

Automation is hard to achieve but it is the key to digitization.

Please vote for the IBM RFE if you like a name parameter when using the repotools command to create friends.
