Negative Value of Filter not working in RTC Reports Imported from BIRT

The Scenario is i am calculating variance and in the filter i am defining range of Variance that it should be in between -1000 to 1000. When i put -1000 it displays nothing but if i write the same number in positive it works. Is there any restriction for negative number input or any other syntax to pass negative? Can someone help me ASAP.
