From time to time my users would like to clone not only a User Story, but its child tasks too. Is this possible?

Create a work item template from the desired user story and its children, and the users can then instantiate that work item template.

Now, a follow up question. Is there a way to remove unwanted templates using the web client? (No prizes for guessing why I'm asking.)

I don't know of any way to remove work item templates in the web client.
