I've tried this new functionality to create an 'implements requirement' between a cpp file and a DNG module requirement. I can see the link at the Eclipse end, but not in DNG .. is this the intended behaviour?

Yes, that is the expected behavior in 6.0.3. There is some adoption work that needs to be performed in the DNG application in order for those back-links to be visible in the DNG application. The goal is for the back-links to be visible, so this was a resource constraint for 6.0.3 ... not the desired final behavior.
