Planned For dropdown in work items are not showing all iterations

I want to better organize the work items within a project so I created some new iterations and associated plans.  However when I go to an existing work item to try to assign it to one of the new iterations, I don't see them in the Planned For dropdown.  Added these iterations last week and they still are not showing.  Using 4.0 and the web browser.

Are these iterations added to the timeline that is set as current timeline?
If they are under non-current timeline, the iteration will not show.
