configure QM/CCM associations to allow only defects in one CCM project area, development items and no defects in other CCM project areas

 Hi,

I am working with a client who has 1 CCM project area where all defects must be created, defects cannot be created in any other CCM project areas. There are other CCM project areas for all development work items that are unique  to that project area, no defects can be created in these project areas. When the "Uses - Defects" association is made, both defects and development work items can be created.

Is there any way to configure QM/CCM associations to allow only defects in a a CCM project area, no development items?

projectArea1: all defects for every project
projectArea2, projectArea3, etc.: all development items that are unique to that project except for defects.

Thanks,
Brett

Hi Brett,

In my experience with the CLM applications , such kind of restricted associations in not supported.

Thanks,

Couldn't you just delete the defect out of the process configuration of that project area?
