Error while configuring Shared path for RFT Scripts in RQM 5.0.2 (Manage project properties page)

Debashish Panda (645) | asked Oct 26 '15, 6:08 p.m.

Dear All,

I am trying to execute IBM RFT(8.5.1.3) scripts from IBM RQM 5.0.2 using RQM  Adapter.

The directory in which the RFT scripts are maintained is a shared directory which we are configuring in RQM in the "Manage Project Properties --> Shared Resource Location".

The above mentioned Shared directory is the path of RQM Server machine where RQM is installed is working perfectly fine.

But, I want to give my local machine path in this shared directory but RQM is not allowing me to do so.

For Example:

Path Details: "\\ecuio0122385\RFT_Scripts"

Error Message : \\ecuio0122385\RFT_Scripts is not accessible to the QM Server

Note: I am the administrator(JAZZ Admin) of the RQM Server

Request you to help me in resolving this issue. It is very urgent.

Regards

Debashish

IP address of the machine to which i am trying to connect \\ecuio0122385 is 10.0.79.121

However the IP address of the RQM Server : \\10.0.134.115

Kindly let me know if you need further details regarding this issue.

Ok, can you try adding the entry such as the one below (without double quotes) into the etc/hosts file on the RQM server and then check if the issue persists?

"10.0.79.121 ecuio0122385"

Best Regards
Sunil

Dear Sunil,

We tried adding the shared path in RQM Server /etc/host file.

Good news is that we are able to ping the shared path from RQM Server machine in the command prompt but unable to access the shared path using the "Windows+R" command.

Note:

RQM Server machine is hosted on Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise 64 bit

Local shared path is in machine Windows 7 Professional 64 Bit

Please let us know if you have encountered such issue.

Thanks

Debashish
