Silent installation of RQM2.0 under linux

Sascha Rinner (111) | asked Aug 22 '09, 6:28 a.m.
Hi Everybody,

I am trying to install RQM2.0 in a headless mode (silent install). I read the online documentation (http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/rqmhelp/v2r0/) but cant find any informations on how to install RQM2.0 under linux without any browser.

Could anyone please give me some advise how to set up RQM in a silent mode?

Thanks, regards, Sascha

Hi Sascha,
The Installation Manager is actually a separate "product", and will manage the silent install for you. Here's the info on it:
http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/install/v1r2/topic/com.ibm.silentinstall12.doc/topics/c_silent_install_over_IM.html

Creating the default project area for users will still have to be done at first ADMIN log in after the install, however, but that can be done from any browser and not local the the Linux server.

John
