Hi Chandrahasa,
would you please attach the command used when meeting the problem?
by the way, what's the RQM server version, RQM 4.0 should use tomcat 7 by default.
RQMCopyUtil 4.x are not compatible between Rational Quality Manager versions, due to differences in the Rational Quality Manager XML schemas.

Sorry.. There was some error in posting this question. I am using WAS 8.0 for Network Deployment, and the version of RQM is 4.0 only. please suggest.

The command I used: java -jar RQMCopyUtility.jar -s=https://host1:9443/qm/service/com.ibm.rqm.integration.service.IIntegrationService/resources/ProjectA -us=admin -pws=admin -d=https://host1:9443/qm/service/com.ibm.rqm.integration.service.IIntegrationService/resources/ProjectB -l=importlog.txt

Hi Chandrahasa, if you are using WAS server, please make sure the port number is correct.

I just tried on my RQM 4.0 server and didn't met any problem, if you still me the problem please attach log

It started working when I used Project ID instead of project name. I do not know why it is not working for project names !

Hi Chandrahasa,
in CopyUtil, you should use project alias instead of project, in general, the project alias is the UrlEncoded project, which means there shouldn't be any blanks and special characters.
you can refer to
