Custom Attribute Presentatio: Large String as Text is blank
6 answers
Hi
Using 'Description' as presentation kind is not recommended as the underlying attribute is of type 'large string' and not 'html'. The 'text' kind is the correct one and it works fine for me. If it does not for you, please file a defect against the Work Items/Eclipse UI/Editor category and attach your process specification source.

I can confirm I have this exact same problem - thank goodness it has already been raised by this post as I was wondering how something like this could have slipped through and thought I must be mad. I have spent a while trying to debug the problem and had concluded that it seemed like it is a bug in RTC.
More information in how I recreated/'solved' the problem:
This problem occurs for me with a custom attribute of type 'String' (haven't tried 'mediumString' or 'shortString') when it's added to a section (as the Text presentation type) with no other presentations added in the same section
If I add another presentation to the same section then the custom' attribute's text appears correctly in the Text presentation (irrespective of whether the 2nd presentation was added before or after it in the section).
To confirm what others have said, if I changed the presentation type to HTML (or String, or small HTML or description) then the text was displayed so it seems like an issue with the Text presentation type itself.
Another change I noticed that with only 1 presentation in the section, the label for the Text does not show. But this appears to be as designed because it is not needed as the section title should accurately describe it. I verified this by just adding a Boolean custom attribute and it also didn't have a label when it was the only presentation in the section.

Thanks for the investigations.
