Linkage between RTC/RTC repositories

Bruno Braga (48013621) | asked Aug 13 '09, 11:09 p.m.
Is possible link RTC repository1 with RTC repository2?

We have two repositories since the RTC 1.0 to control who can read the files of Project Management.
Now, using "Cross Server Communication" we can keep the project management artifacts in repository2 and workitems in repository1?

Example:

RTC repository1:
- all project area workitems
- product artifacts
- user for all team members

RTC repository2:
- project financial artifacts
- no workitems
- users to project managers only

Yes, you can create links between work items. However, you cannot duplicate the information between repositories.
There is alot of documentation on the Information Center which can help you do this. For example, below I have attached a link to use cross-repository querying:
http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/rtc/v2r0m0/topic/com.ibm.team.workitem.doc/topics/t_using_cross_repository_queries_web.html?resultof=%22link%22%20%22repositories%22%20%22repositori%22

Hope that helps,
Stephanie
