RTC 5.0 – How to manage ability to grant certain roles?

Randy Richardson (111) | asked Apr 14 '16, 1:21 p.m.

Here is the scenario:

We would like the ability to have a role, System, that can only be granted to users by a Project Area Administrator.  Additionally, it would be good if the role could be “hidden” such that the Team Lead (Scrum Master) cannot see it and mistakenly grant it.

Thanks.

FORUM ADMINISTRATOR / FORUM MODERATOR / JAZZ DEVELOPER
Only a user with a role that is able to save the process specification is able to assign new roles in the first place. A Project Area admin can assign himself roles, a user with Jazz Admin Role can make himself an admin of a project area.

To do more than that you will have to create some kind of follow up action that checks the change in the process XML and prevents it from happening if it is not wanted.

You can not hide roles.
