Creating Multiple TCER records in Advance
in CLM v6.0.1 for a Test Case with multiple Test Scripts associated.
Is there a way to easily create all the required Test Case Execution Records in advance without them all showing as InProgress? Is there any initial ready state they can be created as? (asked on behalf of David Beange) |
Accepted answer
TCERs are created as "Not Run" without a state, unless a TCER is implicitly created when running a test case directly which in fact the execution is already started. If you have the test cases associated to a test plan or a test suite in the Test Cases section, there is a command to generate TCERs. The TCERs section of the test case editor also has the command to generate TCER as well.
Matthew and David, can you please confirm if the TCERs created with the initial "In Progress" state are through the "Run" command of a test case? If it is not, please provide more details on how they are created so we can better assist. Matthew Wilks selected this answer as the correct answer

Paul, many thanks. I had completely forgotten about the creation of execution records from the Test Case section of the Plan and had been doing individual runs as you identified,
