RMBrowser Add-on plugin error

Adnan Hussain (1313) | asked Mar 16 '16, 9:50 a.m.
 Hi All,

I am facing some issues while creating a Storyboard format artifact in RDNG 6.0.2. Since it's a legacy artifact graphical format, it requires RM browser add-on plugin. When I try to download it, it gives an error saying the add-on appears to be corrupt. Can anyone please help on this?

You will have to be more specific about exactly what the error is.

There is an article which provides troubleshooting tips and suggests some alternative ways to install the plugin:

RM browser add-on: Installation and troubleshooting guide
https://jazz.net/library/article/1088

Check if it is a compatible browser version
Install into a different browser
Install with a different version of java
etc.

Enable trace logging

If you can find the error message check against these messages:
https://jazz.net/library/article/1088#Frequently_Asked_Questions_

If it just isn't working, my suggestion would be to try installing using scripts.
https://jazz.net/library/article/1088#Scripted_Installation

You may need to narrow down the cause by installing the plugin in different client machines and seeing what does and does not work.

 Hi Ian,

The issue was fixed. It had to do with the version of Mozilla Firefox. I uninstalled the Firefox v.43 and then installed Firefox v.38 and its working perfectly fine now.

Thanks
