Is there anyway to Add custom attachments/links to a RQM Test Execution Result from a RFT Test Script

Mary Ann Moore (616) | asked Mar 14 '16, 6:55 p.m.

We would like to add a custom file such as provided by Log4Evidence utility to the end ot the RQM Test Execution Record. We have business users that will not have RFT loaded onto their machine so we need to provide and easy way for them to review test results including PDF documents that were created etc.

I have seen mention of this request to add CLA functionality to RQMAdapter but I do not see any kind of estimated delivery date for this so was wondering if anyone has attempted this.

Hi, Mary

I don't think the feature is available now and anytime soon.
The quick way you may try is to create a keyword for the RFT script, then create a manual script with the keyword as the step. (you can add more steps there to explain what you want to achieve). Then executing the script will see the RFT result created as attachments: one is simple result(html result) for which I guess any user can access to(with no RFT), another one is RFT log. After execution, if you want to add more attachment(pdf result for example), you can manually edit the TCER result and add the attachment again so that those users with no RFT can also view the result.
You can also add comments there to explain what file the users can download if they don't have RFT.

Hope this helps.
