What is the best practice for importing new versions of requirement documents with DNG 6.0.1?
Use Case
recieve version 1 of customer requirement spec and import it into DNG(word file)
receive version 2 of the same customer requirement spec, again in word format.
Need to know best practice for importing the new version of the requirements without breaking any of the linking and attributes that were assigned to the original version in DNG.

One answer
It's the "Word format" part of your question that makes this a long answer. If you said "CSV file" or "ReqIF file" or even "Excel file" it's trivial to do incremental imports (with native Excel formats supported in the interim milestones of our next release).
Can you convert the Word files to spreadsheet-oriented files (one row per requirement)? If so, then you can use existing product facilities. |
