How to find duplicate artifacts in an RDNG module?

Daniel Senko (171411) | asked Jan 26 '16, 9:30 a.m.
We have a module in RDNG v5.0.2 that is the master document for a vast number of artifacts (in the thousands).  We export module to Word (run some macros to clean it up) and send to client.

With multiple editors, we have occasionally duplicated an artifact within this module and don't find until after export and via a doc review (more of a stumble upon vs crisp process).

Is there a way/function to find/identify duplicate artifacts within a module?

This is brute force and not efficient: we've sorted the module by artifact ID, configured columns to display with the ID as the only attribute and then visually scanned.

The only method that I can think of is exactly the same as yours, unfortunately.

I assume you mean looking for the same artifact being added to a single module more than once?  There is no built in functionality to do this.  If you're familiar with RM Extensions, you might look into whether you could write an extension for that (see here for details: https://jazz.net/products/rational-doors-next-generation/features/extend-func).
Or you could probably export to Excel and write a script to look for duplicates.
