JRS 601 or JRS 60, Builder can't get report on custom work item (custom attributes)

My version is 601, and I found very much similar post about the issue although it is on 502, so I don't repeat detail here. Simply, the report builder can select custom work item type at beginning, but then in following pages, only generic work item can be selected for condition and column presentation.

BTW, I also met the same issue on 6.0 ..... doubt if JRS something can really work well ?!

Hi Min Li,

Your custom work item type is still a generic "work item" when it comes to reporting and for selecting conditions and column presentation.  Note how it appears within the sub-tree of the generic Work Item type when you are selecting it as an artifact for your report.  So when you select condition and column presentation, it is expected that the "Attributes of" field will show  the generic work item type.  You should still be able to add conditions and column presentations that are appropriate for your custom work item type.

Is there something specific that you are attempting to select for  the conditions or column presentation that is not working for you?

Your comment reminded me another possibility: I created a admin user timely on RTC, but seems I did not re-login using it for the customization.  So this carelessness caused when I logon RS per this new user, I can't see the new attributes.  This might be design as is --- for access control. I can see my new attributes now, after refreshing the DW data source.
Thanks!

Yes, there is access control based off of which user is using the report and what projects that user has access to.  I'm glad you got it to work!
