How do should you handle moving a story into another sprint?

I have an environment that is
OS: Windows 2008
DB: oracle 11.2
JTS: 4.0.6
A User story has 10 tasks with total of 35 hours with 35 story points. in spring 5 (date....): 4 tasks were completed (17 hours completed) in sprint 6 (date ...)  is the current sprint

What is the behavior of this user story when I try to generate the burn down report?

When I move the user story into the new sprint 6 because all tasks were not completed, the reports are inconsistent. what is the behavior of this scenario?

How should we handle this scenario? What is IBM recommendation for this kind of scenario?
split the user story? or, etc.....?
