How can i find (windows) DOORS data base explorer (DOORS Trial version web installer 6.0)

Daniel Flemström (1111) | asked Oct 08 '15, 5:12 a.m.
When installing the trial for DOORS, I cannot find the windows client tool (only some eclipse tools) but no data  base explorer, which makes it impossible for me to run the tutorials properly.

The tutorial talks about the DOORS Data base explorer as a windows application that can be started.

So, where do I find the windows client  ? (The ultimate goal is to  find any way to import .dpa files which i could not do in the web UI)

Thanks!
/Daniel

I think you may have downloaded "IBM Rational DOORS Next Generation" given your web installer 6.0 reference.

Database Explorer would be a part of "IBM Rational DOORS" which is a different IBM Product offering.

Hi Daniel,

If you are talking about the DOORS database explorer and restoring .dpa files then you are referring to using the classic DOORS client and DOORS database, not DOORS Next Generation. Therefore, you will need to install both the DOORS client and DOORS database server ...

The most recent version for the DOORS client and server is 9.6.1.3

It looks like the IBM Rational DOORs trial software is no longer available via the Web site.  Your best bet would be to contact your IBM Rational Sales representative to secure trial software.

Not sure who your sales rep is?
