Can I show custom attributes of type string on a plan taskboard card?

I create a new Custom Work Item and added several custom attributes BUT when I tried to add these attributes(String) to the Card Display in the Plan, those attributes are not showing in the list.
I have already included them in the "Plan Attributes" section under Configuration Data/Planning/Plan Attributes

Now my Plan does not display when I select "View As" Taskboard, How do I get it back
