DCC iFix007 reports as iFix006?

Just upgraded a CLM installation from V5.0.2 iFix006 to V5.0.2 iFix007.  All of the standard applications (JTS, CCM, QM, RM) all indicate they are iFix007 when I select About this Application.

DCC, however, reports that it is still iFix006 instead of iFix007 after the upgrade is complete.  I checked the WebSphere log and the proper patch is being read.  Has anyone else seen this?

Thanks,
Fran

Hi Francis, please verify that under your DCC installation folder, the following file exists:

JazzTeamServer\server\patch\DCC-Patch-Service-Zip_5.0.2.20150625_1039.zip

You must also unzip com.ibm.rational.rrdi.dcc.mapping_5.0.0.v20150625_1439.zip and copy the ttl files to:

JazzTeamServer\server\conf\dcc\mapping

Rafik,

I double-checked the patch file this morning.  It is correct.

With respect to the mapping files, I upgraded from iFix006 to iFix007.  I always check the version.txt in the mapping files - it contains "DCC 5.0.2.0.2" for both iFix006 and iFix007.  In the past I have not upgraded the mapping files when the version is the same and have not had any issues.  Why would the mapping files need to be upgraded if there are no changes?

Thanks,
Fran

Hi Francis, your setup is fine. The DCC patch was produced before the CLM patch so it used the core libraries from iFix006. But DCC iFix007 has its own required fixes. So you are OK. Regarding the mapping files, it is really up to you how you do this. I thought it was easier to copy the new mapping files instead of comparing the version numbers.
