How to add a functional user in CLM?

Adam Wereszczynski (92811932) | asked Aug 20 '15, 7:09 a.m.
How do I add a functional user in IBM Collaborative Lifecycle Mangement (CLM) solution?

I need to add a functional user to establish a friend relationship between a CLM 6.0 server and a floating license CLM 6.0 server.
I am using an external user registry and therefore cannot create new users.

To add a functional user to the CLM server you need to do the following steps:

  1. Start your web browser.

  2. Navigate to the Jazz Team Server's Advanced Properties page in the administrative web interface, for example:
    https://<server>:<port>/jts/admin#action=com.ibm.team.repository.admin.configureAdvanced

  3. Search for a property named "User Registry Type".

  4. Change the value of the property to "UNSUPPORTED".

  5. Click on the "Save" button.

  6. In the top menu, click on "User" and select "Active Users".

  7. Click on "Create User" button.

  8. Fill in the details in the form and save. The user does not need to have any license assigned.

  9. Navigate to the Jazz Team Server's Advanced Properties page from step 2.

  10. Change the value of the "User Registry Type" property to the previous value.

  11. Save.

You can now utilize the newly created user account to establish a friend relationships or assign it to an OAuth Consumer.
