RQM versionning and baselines for whole test effort

hi

What we miss so far is the possibility to version TPs, TCs, all the rest
of the test artifacts.
e.g. when you close a test iteration we want to set a baseline over all
the artifacts (incl. test results) at that particular moment. In
addition every change in a TP, TC or TS should be tracked in a version
history.

.....do you also have this requirement ? please "Reply" short message

thank you
Marco

... in V2.0, if you snapshot a plan, all of the Plan, its Test Cases, the Scripts, & the execution results related to the Test Cases / Plan, are captured into the Snapshot.

RQM provides a "snapshot" tool that creates versions of test plans, test cases and test scripts. this is I believe "half" of what you're suggesting .. I don't believe there has been a request put in place to provide a "project" baseline as opposed to asset based snapshots

Hi, I have exactly the same request from many customers that want to

include in the snapshot the test results. This is in fact the most
important information they want to backup and restore to create reports
about how a specific release was in the past compared to others.

I thought this feature was going to be impleted in RQM 2.0, but if not
planned we should submit a request for enhacement asap.

Thanks,

Ana

hi nerack

The snapshot is not even half of what our customer wants! You can
snapshot plans or cases but how do you do that when you have 900
testcases - one-by-one ? ....and there is no synch between the plans and
the cases, not even speaking about test scripts and test results !

Customers also want to be able to compare the tests between releases -
e.g. "show me the differences of the tests between Rel 1.0 and 2.0"

cheers
Marco

Both of you are discussing issues that our Testing groups are asking about, and I can't find the answer yet. Three big requirements from my groups before they will pilot this are:

--If they are finished with release 1.0, they want a single "print" function to print TP, TC, Requirements, TER and put it in the "1.0 results" folder in sharepoint.
--How can they start 1.1 and use 80% of 1.0's TCs and 20% new ones.
--How, after 6.0 release, can they come back and see 1.0.1.1's results?

Are any of these possible? Can I see the TER's of 1.0.1.1 or something?

thanks...
