Group by is not working correctly for multivalued categories

Muhammad Ramzan (1568) | asked Aug 06 '15, 8:06 a.m.
Hi,

We care facing issue in test plan. I have created one category "Test Phase" which have values 'System Test', 'Smoke Test' , Regression Test'.

I selected system test and regression test as test phase for one test case. When i group by the test cases my test case is only showing under one test phase type.

Its only showing the test case under that category which is alphabetically defines first.

As Regression test is defined first so my test case is only showing under regression test but in actual i mark my test case for both system and regression.

By this way we can't work on correct number of test cases.

There is no perfect solution to place one entry that belongs to multiple groups.  Duplicating the entry to place in both groups will give a incorrect total number of test cases that may cause more confusion. Please submit an enhancement request if you have a suggestion for the usability team to evaluate.

Normally , we use multi valued attribute for duplication purpose. For example we selected one test case for regression and system both so its means the creator knows he is duplicating one test case and this is the correct use to avoid writing two same test case.

As per my suggestion , it should be allowed by JAZZ team. , Can you please suggest how to create suggestion request.

We need this in our team as we are facing issues
