How to convert CLM 4.0.3 to clustered environment?

Hi,

We have CLM 4.1.2 in standalone WAS 8.0 environment running. Now the we are planning to convert into cluster environment. Is it possible to change the deployment topologies ? Is there any impact on existing data? Is there any good instructions/documents available for configuring this?

Thanks

Hi Naveen,
1. There is not such version of CLM like 4.1.2. Could you clarify what is the exactly version you use?
2. In the latest CLM versions we do not support clustering. We support high availability configuration which is described on https://jazz.net/wiki/bin/view/Deployment/ApproachesToImplementingHAAndDR.
3. What you need to do is to have this configuration you need to add additional proxy server which will be redirecting to your server and alternatively switching to another server when this one is down.

Please let me know if that helps.

Thanks for reply. Exact jazz version is 4.0.3 and WAS 8.0.0.4 BASE. Do we need to have WAS network deployment installed for configuring the proxy server to redirect. Can it be possible to add BASE WAS profile to cluster environment ?

No WAS network deployment necessary. I do not know what is BASE WAS profile. And please notice that you will not make clustered environment. You can only make high availability environment.

FYI:  Base WAS is a version of WAS for which one can create stand-alone profiles, each managed separately.
