Ask a question

Do CLM licenses cover test / support environments?

Dustan Daniel (3921823) | asked Jul 08 '15, 7:12 a.m.
In line with the upgrade process of staging a test environment to test the upgrade process, we have a separate isolated CLM environment in which the trial licenses have long since expired.

The question is, can we use the production CLM licenses in the test environment? The test environment is used to:
  • test the upgrade steps
  • as a general sandbox, i.e. play around with configurations before applying them to production, test new/existing capabilities, up-skilling etc.?

Hi Dustan,

If you are upgrading to the latest version, you can install the new version along with trail licenses.

Arun.

Thanks Arun, perhaps I do not fully understand your answer. The questions is related to non-Production environments, can I use Production CLM licenses in non-production environments for the same customer?

As far as I know there is a possibility for a duplicate license key agreement.
