How to change work item types (by multiple selection)?

How can I change the work item types of several work item types at the same time?

When multi-selecting work items in the plan view, I cannot choose the "Edit work item" option.

You can not do that in the plan view. In the Plan view, you can only bulk update attributes that are considered relevant for the plan.

You can do it in a work item query.
